Once upon a time, in a day much like yesterday, There was a girl, just like me who happened to have a very crazy and frantic day, She was feeling very frustrated, overwhelmed and a little unappreciated. To unwind from the pre-holiday rush going on all around her, she went over to her best friends house. What an odd group they were, three farm kids that loved their lives, but were just a little different than the stereotypical farm kids. They settle down for a quiet night filled with a slow movie (not a bad one mind you, just slow). Ray grabs his most recent project, a baby blanket with the crocheted edges, but the hook is missing, after much searching, it is found between two couch cushions. Cassie announces that after that search, cookies are needed, most unfortunately...there are no cookies to be found. After a brief moment of sadness at that discovery, they proceed with the movie pausing only twice, once to determine who is stalking the house next door, and once to let Kyle mix up milkshakes, his specialty. After a very touching finish to the slow movie, they talk for a few minutes, but since two of them must wake up before the sun, Cassie left and walked to her car, opened the door and then noticed something on the windshield that was more than just frost. 'What is that I wonder?' she thought. Reaching out to grab it, she found a gallon sized Ziploc bag full of...cookies! YES! COOKIES! looking around and not seeing anyone, everyone seemingly tucked into bed, she placed the cookies on the seat next to her, and drove home. When she got home, She texted Kyle, asking if he put the cookies there. Did he? No. Did Ray? No. Did Amber? Did Kyles family? No. No. These are magic cookies. An answer to a prayer. She shared them with friends, family and coworkers, they were AMAZING cookies! Some even insisted upon having the recipe, but she didn't know the recipe, she didn't even know where the cookies came from. Perhaps somethings are better left a mystery.
The End
P.S. This is a true story, and it turns out that the cookies came from the amazing Superman. He knows who he is and I am very thankful!
